KROSST OUT - TROUBLE REMIX

Krosst Out is a rap-rocker with an affinity for marrying his two musical passions: hip-hop and heavy music. As an artist with such an energetic and unique taste, the visual side must match that.
He had reached out to me regarding a cover art he needed for a remix. He provided the imagery he was interested in using, as well as a bit of direction he had in mind, and let me carry the rest of the creative direction in the best way I see fit.
With that, I edited the photo with vibrant overlays, a new color palette, and topped it off with a unique, elegant, almost tattoo like typography for the track name. When it comes to design, typography is one of the most important things to me.
THE ALLEY CATS - BARFLY

The Alley Cats is a reggae band known for blending upbeats ska, dub, and roots of reggae. For this track, the band had teamed up with another wonderful and talented band out of Oregon; Rubbah Tree.
The original idea for this design came from a personal piece I came up with and posted on Instagram. My guy Austin, from The Alley Cats, reached out to let me know he feels the design is perfect for their upcoming single titled “Bar Fly”. I was stoked to hear this, as we had been in touch for a while and this almost felt as if the universe aligned for us to come together on a project!
From there, we made some minor changes on the design, such as color palette adjustments, adding palm trees, and reworking the typography to read “Bar Fly”. I am very happy with the way this one came out.
KROSST OUT - NO MORE NU ROCKSTARS

Another one for the legend himself, Krosst Out! He had reached out to me regarding a new single he would be releasing soon. He gave me a bit of a direction, some inspiration he was feeling for the cover, and the idea of the rock hand signs on a silhouette, while including a star in there somewhere.
From there, I got to cooking. I started with the rockstar character, with the star behind him. Next, I began moving on a typography to fit this graphic. I wanted to keep it simple, while also being strong enough to attract the eye and benefit the design. With that, I included another star in the typographic portion just to add another rockstar motif in there.
The gritty/grunge background is an element which I feel makes this design so strong.
